This notice clarifies how Maax Factor Sdn Bhd and on behalf of its related corporations, including but not limited to, MAA Group Berhad (collectively “our”, “us” or “we”) processes your data from the moment we collect, use, share, dispose of and as well as the security measures that we established to ensure your personal data is well protected.

We collect your personal data which ranges from:

• Your personal details such as name, identity card or passport number, gender, nationality, date of birth, age, race, marital status, address, email and/or telephone number.
• Your employment details such as name of your employer, your position, scope of employment or income.
• Details of your referee and/or guarantor or other personal data that may be required in addition when you deal with us.

SOURCE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

We gather your personal data from:

• Application form available at our website maaxfactor.my
• Surveys, contests and promotions, social media i.e., Facebook, Instagram.
• Private agency that provides credit reporting such as CTOS.

REASONS FOR PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

We collect your personal data to:

• Offer you the services you have requested or to process any requests, inquiries or any communication from us to you.
• Deliver any documents to your desired address and location.
• Inform you of any services, offers or promotions that we or our business partners have selected and believe will be of interest to you (only with your consent).
• Verify your financial condition through credit reference/review for reporting and/or for any audit, legal, compliance and risk assessment purposes.

We process your personal data in and outside Malaysia and you hereby give your consent to the transfer.

• The appointed courier that deliver your documents.
• The authorities for legal/regulatory purposes.
• To related companies within MAA Group, our related corporations, business partners and service providers.
• To credit reporting agencies, banks, our financial and professional advisors.

We take these measures to protect your personal data:

• By ensuring your personal data is kept as required by Act 709.
• By ensuring our staff do not misuse your personal data.
• By entering contracts/agreements on personal data with system vendor.
• By implementing strict password protection policies to ensure users safeguard their passwords and refrain from disclosing it to unauthorized individuals to avoid data breach.

PERSONAL DATA RETENTION PERIOD

We will retain your personal data for seven (7) years or as long as you remain as our customer. If you are no longer our customer, we will permanently delete your personal data after the mentioned retention period.
